A Bible-Based, Non-Denominational Church in Sarasota

Sarasota is a beautiful place to live—sun, sand, art, and a pace that’s easy to love. But comfort can be a spiritual trap. It whispers, “You’ve made it. Keep things easy. Avoid risk.” Jesus invites us to something better. He calls us to take up our cross, follow Him, and love our neighbors in costly, concrete ways. That’s why we refuse to be a comfortable church in Sarasota—and why we’re committed to being a Bible-based, Spirit-led, non-denominational and interdenominational church for our city.

Comfort is not the goal. Faithfulness is.
The Altar Fellowship is an army of young people and families that is not afraid to be uncomfortable for the sake of taking our place in the plans that God has for each one of our friends and neighbors.

Faithfulness Over Comfort

The last four years have been particularly uncomfortable. We lost our pastor. We lost our church building. We did not lose our north. Because we know that Jesus did not promise us comfort—He promised His presence. Following Him means transformation, not complacency (Matthew 16:24; Romans 12:2).

A Spirit-Led Church That Stretches and Grows

Comfort stalls growth. Discipleship happens when we stretch—learning, serving, praying, forgiving, and stepping into the unknown together. Because we believe this, we refuse to pull isolated verses of the Word of God to back up our agenda. Instead, we study and discuss Scripture verse by verse, understanding that to be a Spirit-led congregation, we must let God speak for Himself. We are a Bible teaching church that only attracts people who are serious about getting to know God.

Is it risky? You better believe it is.
But we refuse to stay comfortable.
If you are ready to take a chance and embrace radical Christianity, we are your church.

A Church Committed to Reaching Sarasota, Bradenton & Palmetto

Reaching out to others can be uncomfortable. But we don’t care. Our neighbors matter. People in our city face loneliness, addiction, housing insecurity, and spiritual hunger. Love moves us toward need, not away from it. We are taking the message of hope and love into malls and other locations this Christmas. Some of us are professional artists; some of us just pretend. But we are all passionate about Jesus and committed to reaching our community through Go Tell and other outreach.

If You’re Ready to Get Uncomfortable With Us, Come On Over

Grow in a Bible-Based Community

Come and learn the Word of God without filters or agendas.
Come and love and be loved by people without prejudice or condition. No cliques. No clubs. Just family.

Choose Depth Over Hype

Come and go deep in prayer and worship. Choose depth over hype. Let our Father shape our character and turn us into real disciples.

Transformation Over Complacency

Come and let’s repent together. Let’s stretch and grow under the mighty hand of our God.
Come and grow with us. Growth isn’t measured by numbers but by transformation—how we love, serve, and live as lights and representatives of Jesus in our world.

A Church Where Your Story Matters

Come and tell us your story. We will listen. We will laugh with you. We will cry with you. You are not alone.

A Place to Serve and Build

Come and serve. There is more opportunity than hands. We’ve been waiting for you.

A Non-Denominational, Interdenominational Church for Sarasota

Our desire is to be the type of church that loves more than we lecture, serves more than we post, repents more than we defend, and trusts Jesus more than we trust ourselves. May we transform our city—one person at a time—because we chose holy discomfort over easy complacency.

If you’re ready for a faith that grows, a family that shows up, and a mission worth your life, come journey with us. Let’s refuse comfort—and follow Christ—together.
